Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains what information settlefinance.nz collects and why, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Settle (settlefinance.nz) is operated by GA26 Limited, a New Zealand company, trading as Settle Finance. You can reach us about this policy or your information via the contact details on our About page.
Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into our calculators (income, savings, deposit, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to, stored on, or seen by our servers — closing the tab clears them. We don't know what numbers you entered.
Guide checklist. The checklist on our Guides page saves your ticked items using your browser's localStorage, so your progress is remembered if you come back. This stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. It tells us aggregate information like how many people visit, which pages are popular, and which country visitors are in — it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build an individual profile of you.
Information you send us directly. If you email us or otherwise contact us, we hold what you send us for as long as reasonably needed to respond and keep a record.
We don't sell your information. We don't run advertising trackers. We don't currently operate any adviser-matching service, so we don't share your details with any lender or adviser — the "Talk to an adviser" section links you to the official FSPR register so you can find and contact one yourself.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, and ask us to delete it. Since our calculators don't send your numbers to us, in practice the only information we could hold is what you send us directly (e.g. by email), and we'll respond to any request about that within a reasonable time.
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, once adviser matching launches, this page will be updated to explain what information that feature shares and with whom, before it goes live.
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
